Just What Makes a Successful Vendor Coordinator and Vendor Market?: Saturday 3:00pm – 4:00pm
A successful Vendor Market requires the right Venue, the right Vendor Coordinator, the right Vendors, & a whole lot more. It takes support from the organization & everyone else involved working together to make it run well. When taking on such a demanding role as the Coordinator, it must be taken seriously or the market will fail, which in effect, makes the event itself fail. It’s not an easy task & is definitely not a “fluff” item to pad a Leather resume. Come learn the what, where, when, how & why of coordinating a successful market – an event everyone will want to sign up for next year, before the current one is even over. And… as “Vendor Market Guru,” get yourself invited back to do it all again next year (if you’re that big of a masochist).

TED TALKS: Saturday 4:30pm – 6:00 pm TED Talks are a consistent source of public interest – not only because of their often-fascinating content, but because of the means of delivering to the audience a succinct and telling tale which draws in the imagination and the consciousness of those listening while educating. As a tool to communicate, it violates tenets of good teaching, lectures, and information… and, it does this effectively. How can your group benefit in this method of starting discussions? Why is a TED talk so compelling? How do you present to boards, groups, and institutions in such a way that you capture them – and keep them?

Ms. Noel has been training large animals, hitting people with whips, and practicing formal dining etiquette for nearly all of her life. In her first consensually polyamorous relationship at age 17, she quickly embraced the concept of ‘love without limits’. Raised by the Last Great Southern Belle, she learned tea service at age 7 and large animal training from the time she could walk. Unsurprisingly, most of those skills translated easily to humans on her introduction to the BDSM world at age 19.

Ms. Noel is a certified Our Whole Lives Lifespan Sexuality Training facilitator for adults, and spent 4 years as a Board Member for the first organization to welcome her into the Atlanta BDSM community, Whippersnappers Atlanta. She was also Ms Southeast Olympus Leather 2011, a Southeast Regional Operating Committee member for LLCXVI in 2012, and Cofounded the Atlanta Primals meetup with her late husband, Primal Rush. Her vanilla hobbies include running the North Fulton Family Friendly Foodies, Family Friendly Bikers, and Georgia Tea Tin groups, as well as Rangering at local Burns.

In her copious spare time, Ms. Noel trains legal and IT professionals, rides motorcycles, and attempts to keep up with her 4year old son with limited success

Formal Tea Service: Sunday 1:00pm – 2:30pm As one of her favorite classes since childhood, Ms Noel is eager to share with you her enthusiasm for tea. More than an excuse for etiquette, tea is a time honored tradition in many countries including our own. Tea can involve any level of formality: from a ‘cuppa’ shared between two friends at the kitchen table, to a ‘high’ tea involving multiple courses and silver tea trays. No matter what the occasion, tea should always be a relaxing opportunity to socialize. She will share with you the history of tea, proper brewing, recipes for delicious goodies, and of course the etiquette of service and partaking.

LEATHERWOMENS’ LEADERSHIP INTENSIVE  ~ Saturday 3-4 and 4:30-6:00 (part 2 builds on part 1) How do we move from creating safe and empowering play spaces to leading groups forward to effecting positive change both inside and outside of our leather community? Our bodies, our incomes, our health, our sexuality and our sanity are challenged in today’s political climate. This intensive is for women who want to use their leadership to create a caring future for everybody. Through reflection, dialogue, writing, and meditation, we delve into our leadership stories, learn from each other, and create a shared understanding of what is needed to bring greater consciousness in our leather communities. Together we (1) articulate our core values and the values that underlie creating a culture of care, (2) strengthen our capacity to communicate in an impactful manner, (3) create a compelling and actionable vision for our leadership goals, (4) map the key contours of a year’s plan to put our values into action, (5) elevate our leadership voice, and (6) advance our vision for change. Leadership involves deciding what matters most. Whether you are a seasoned leader or beginning your leadership journey, this intensive can help you be the courageous, wise, and nurturing leader our communities need today.

“Diversity Across the Lifestyle” Discussion Panel: Saturday 10:00am – 11:30am ~ The term “Lifestyle” is used as an umbrella concept representing “Who We Are and What We Do” without limitations reflected upon particular genres or defining role/s. We have all made conscious choices from our past experiences and personal ideologies, becoming who we are today as our authentic selves while encompassing the variations in our application methodologies.

Each of these choices have stemmed from personal reflection of those who came before us. Those who were willing to pass along their stories and experiences with us, creating our distinct paths. While we identify differently, our core layers provide vast spectrums of cross over; each to be respected and honored regardless of personal resonation within these varied expressions.

Our complex stories have been intricately woven, providing diverse perspectives gleaned from our independent histories and backgrounds. This panel discussion allows the space to share ourselves with others, providing a glimpse into the diverse realms in which we have evolved as we gain a deeper understanding that there is NO “One True Way”. Join us for an interactive conversation that will surely demystify common misnomers and perhaps spark your own personal journey.

Lifestyle Safety & Security for the Club Owner, Manager, Staff or Volunteer: Saturday 10:00 – 11:30 am This class is an extension of our original class, Safety and Security in the Lifestyle. The difference is that where our original class is geared toward how to more safely navigate and play in, the BDSM Lifestyle, this class is designed to look at Safety and Security from the point of view of the people that run the club or playspace.

How to be as pro-active as possible with regard to clubs, gatherings, and personal safety. Things to watch for and how to react should an emergency occur. A worst case scenario as well as what people can do to support those who have suffered injury or loss. We’ll look at active shooter, predator, and emergency evacuation scenarios. We will also go over some things that need to be looked after in a club to ensure a safe and smooth emergency evacuation, which we hope you’ll never need. We’ll look at basic body language reading and how profiling, when properly applied, is a key to prevention and preparedness.
